Research shows that 1 in 5 people will be affected by some form of mental illness or addiction in their lifetime. 1.2 million Canadians under 19 have a mental illness that impedes their ability to live life to the fullest. Half of these children and youth battle serious drug or alcohol addictions at the same time known as concurrent disorder. Sadly, three quarters of them will not receive the help they need. In order to make a difference, awareness and involvement is needed to lead to treatment and recovery.

Put Up Your Dukes is a fundraising event dedicated to raising awareness, understanding and widespread acceptance of mental illness and addiction with the goal of eradicating the stigma associated with these ailments.

This highly anticipated event combines gourmet food, cocktails and entertainment with a fun-filled and educating evening in support of the Centre for Mental Health and Addiction (CAMH).
